How can I care for my Sterling Silver Jewelry?
All of the jewelry that I create is made from .925 Sterling Silver, a high quality metal that can naturally develop a patina over a period of time. Here are some things for you to know about these pieces in the best shape.
How can I minimize oxidation?
There are a few things you can do to help prevent or slow down this process
.STORE IT PROPERLY: Try and keep your jewelry in air tight bags, soft pouches or an anti-tarnish bag. This will limit the exposure to changes in temperature.
. LAST ON FIRST OFF: placing your jewelry on after applying perfumes, lotion, hairspray and removing before swimming showering and when using any cleaning products will reduce the oxidation rate.
.WEAR IT!: regularly worn silver tarnishes less, the friction of wear and the skin contact keeps it polished naturally.
How do I restore the shine?
Depending on how shiny you want your piece you may need to get it professionally shined but here are two things you can do at home.
.POLISHING CLOTH: This is a soft microfiber cloth used to buff the surface leaving behind a polished finish. These can be found on amazon or any jewelers site.
.WARM BATH: To give your piece a deeper clean you can mix warm water with mild dish soap, let your piece sit for a few minutes and then lightly scrub your piece with a soft toothbrush.
How should I store my pieces?
This can vary between every person but here are some things you can keep in mind.
.keep your jewelry in dry cool places, direct sunlight and humidity can accelerate oxidation.
A jewelry box with the anti tarnish strips can help slow oxidation and separate the pieces to prevent scratches.
What are the materials you use in your jewelry?
All of my pieces are made with .925 Sterling Silver, along with natural stones varying in size and color each unique to itself.
Why do silver pieces change over time?
As sterling silver ages, it will naturally oxidize when exposed to air tempitures, moisture and certain chemicals. This can also be called Patina or natural patina which is a thin layer of green or brown film that covers the surface of citron metals. While this is not harmful to your jewelry and many love this lived in wear to jewelry, there are also easy ways to keep that high quality shine to your pieces.

I started Lucille Studios to chase my dreams of making this my future, to fill people with love for this jewelry as it has filled me. Lucille Studios is a one-woman show, as of now. Just me creating each piece by hand, putting my heart and soul into every part for you to love and care for.
When I was 15, I got the chance to start my journey with metals in my high school smithy, focusing on large-scale pieces such as hangers, hooks, and more. This is when my love for metals started. Then when I was 18, I got the chance to create my first silver piece of jewelry. This took my passion for metals and turned it into a need for it in my life. I fell in love with the art all over again, in a way I never knew could exist.
I want Lucille Studios to give people a similar feeling through the pieces I have made. want people to find joy in the biggest to the smallest pieces, and I dream that every single piece gives people a timeless story to carry with them for life.
